Format memory

Use this option to format the internal memory.

1. Shooting mode or playback mode

Remove the memory card from the camera in advance.
Formatting the internal memory permanently deletes all data. Data that has been deleted cannot be recovered. Make sure to save important images to a computer before formatting.
To start formatting, press flexible button 3 ( [Format]) on the screen that is displayed.

• Do not turn the camera off or open the battery-chamber/memory card slot cover during formatting.
• You may not be able to select this setting while a wireless connection is established.
