Flash Info for Shoe-Mounted Units
The camera can display flash info for flash units that support unified flash control (the SB-5000, SB-500, SB-400, and SB-300) mounted on the camera accessory shoe. To view flash info, press the R button in the information display (0 The R Button). The information displayed varies with the flash control mode.

Flash Info and Camera Settings
The flash information display shows selected camera settings, including exposure mode, shutter speed, aperture, and ISO sensitivity.
Changing Flash Settings
Flash settings can be changed by pressing the i button in the flash info display. The options available vary with the flash unit and the settings selected. You can also test-fire the flash.
